New logistics platform: Improving flow performance

Hutchinson is linking up with the municipality of Château-Gontier to build a distribution centre.

The aim is to meet customers’ logistic requirements and expand the company’s commercial O-ring and bonded seal manufacturing activity.

This building project is in line with Hutchinson’s environmental commitment, with indoor/outdoor insulation meeting the latest standards, a rainwater recovery system and solar panels on the roof to ensure the energy autonomy of the distribution center and make it an energy-plus building.  

The new building comprises 4,000 m² of warehouse floor area and 300 m² of offices. Its construction will be completed at the end of the first quarter of 2022 and it will be commissioned in the third quarter after installation of the automated warehouse.
